So What are things you need?

A Product or Service

The most obvious would be a product or service, no business can survive without providing something of value.  Unfortunately there are a lot of programs that really only offer making money as the real product.  I have fallen for many of these early on, the promise of riches and quick cash is so tempting.

Your product can be anything, what’s your passion, your hobby or even something you would like to do.  The biggest reason you want something your passionate about is your audience will know that your passionate and want to do business with you.  The saying goes “people do business with those they trust”, and if you love what you do, it will be obvious and people will naturally trust you.  You can also provide a service, such as mentoring and training (my passion), or building websites, helping with traffic.  The ideas are endless and you can learn more here and set up a free account.

 

A Website

Website-Image-trans-cutJust as important would be a website, don’t let this scare you, it’s actually quite easy once you learn how and can be completed in as little as five minutes.  People need to know you to trust you and only your own website can do that, plus it is a place to meet and communicate.  Take a traditional business, would you rather buy a watch from a guy on the corner or from a local business that specializes in watches.  Easy to see why a website is important. Training and Support

Training and Support is so critical to your success. Without it your left to figure it out on your own, it’s like going on a trip with no map or directions.  You might get there, eventually, but the cost and time will be greatly increased due to hitting every pot hole and dead end along the way.  As you see on this site training and support is unparalleled to anything else you will find on the net.  I was doing it on my own for 15 years and was barely making it, once I plugged into this community of entrepreneurs my business exploded.  Mistakes I had been making were corrected and new techniques and skills were learned. Mindset and Beliefs

Screenshot-2014-12-05-12.20.07-270x250I was like many people and never really thought much about my mindset, all I knew was I wanted to make money online and signing up for programs  and promoting it the way I was told.  It was when I started communicating with a group of entrepreneurs that I realized I had a poor mindset.  I was avoiding some of the hard work needed to succeed.  See my deep down belief was that I wasn’t smart enough to put together a good website.  I had to change my mindset and belief to that of success that I could do this and if not would learn, back to how important training is.  Also with mindset came setting goals for myself and business, working on time management to balance, work, family and recreation.  Goals allow you to track your success, had I set goals early on, I would have realized I was well off track before 15 years had gone by.  Don’t skip this part of your business.

 

Time, Effort and Budget

If you do the things above and put in the time and effort, you will succeed. There is no luck involved, it is action in the right direction with the right tools that brings success.  The biggest mistake I see is people don’t put in the time or don’t give the business enough time to grow, both are killers of business.  I strongly recommend setting a budget for your business as it is very easy to spend a lot of money trying to get more traffic and there are a lot of scams out there.  I will cover that in another topic.  Most of all have patience, remember the old saying “Rome wasn’t built in a day”.  How long have you been working for what you have today?  Say it took five years to build and 6 or 7 figure income, would it be worth the time and effort?  Not too say the freedom of working from home.
